Castellinaldo d'Alba is an ancient village, which boasts archaic Roman origins with a sixteenth-century castle and six ancient churches.

The Municipality of Castellinaldo d'Alba has always demonstrated its massive wine-growing vocation, to which for centuries earth and sky have given very particular taste characteristics and refined bouquets to all the wines: Nebbiolo, Roero, Roero Arneis, Favorita, Barbera, Bonarda and Birbét ( Brachetto).

And it is precisely from these traditional, but still very high quality, characteristics that the so-called Barbera "Castellinaldo" was born in 1991, now officially regulated.
