OUR COLLABORATIONS
Operation Pollinator
SYNGENTA
Our ever-increasing attention to the agronomic and sustainable management of the vineyards aimed at protecting useful insects (in particular pollinators) has led us to create low-maintenance buffer areas around the cultivated areas.
These areas allow us to improve the balance between agriculture and the environment with the aim of specifically connecting our vineyards to natural areas, guaranteeing, in fact, a more balanced management of the rural landscape while promoting the protection of biodiversity and resources soil and water.
We have been involved in the project for some yearsOperation Pollinator, an initiative that provides farmers with a concrete solution to transform the edges of the cultivated field into new habitats and guarantee food sources for pollinators by increasing their presence in terms of species and size of populations within the cultivated areas.
The aim of the project is to demonstrate that productive intensive agriculture and a lively and rich environment in terms of biodiversity can coexist.
Our attention to the environment and the agronomic quality of the vineyard has led us in recent years to establish a collaboration with the SAGEA group, which works in the phytopathological sector linked to the typical crops of the Piedmont area; to support research also in the agricultural sector in order to promote environmental respect and food safety.
In particular, experimental tests are carried out in some of our vineyardsGEP, conducted in accordance with the main international guidelines.
Precisely, the SAGEA program created for our company includes efficacy studies and screening of plant protection products (PPP) and biological control means (BCA), together with evaluations in conditions of natural or artificial infection/infestation, in the open field and in the environment. protected.
The aim of the project is to contribute, even if only in a small part, to research studies to obtain sustainable and safe technical means for agriculture.
